Sandra Kay "Sandy" Crooks, age 76, Parker, Kansas, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025. She was born on January 8, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Lewis E. and Margaret R. Slagle. Sandy was united in marriage in Olathe, Kansas, to Albert Crooks on November 4, 1976.

She held various jobs over the years. She worked in the schools, drove a school bus and clerked at Wal-Mart. She was a member of the Amazing Grace Full Gospel Assembly of God. She loved chasing her grandkids activities, riding and showing mules, camping, and fishing. She was active with 4-H when her kids were involved
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ronald Slagle, and three sisters, Jackie Morton, Nackey Howe, and Mary Sissoyev. Sandy is survived by her husband, Albert; two sons, Bubba Crooks (Melissa), and John Crooks (Kasey); a daughter, Ketturah "Kitty" Rhynerson; eight grandchildren, Alyssa, Alonzo, Dawson, Aubrey, Daniesha, Trevor, Samantha, and Abigail; as well as three great-grandchildren, Rkyer, Mattylenn and Ellenore.
Graveside Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2025, at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to Amazing Grace Full Gospel Assembly of God.
