Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending Jan. 11

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, Jan. 13, showed that the current numbers for the week ending Jan. 11 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 59.  Two prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in: 58

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. (One competency evaluation.) 

• Forty-four prisoners were from other facilities (27 U.S Marshals Service, 16 Wyandotte County, 1 other,  at $3,506 per day)

• Total 911 calls: 48 

• There were 4,069 jail contacts.

• Total calls for service: 457 

• Total civil service papers served: 6

• There were four vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Five new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• No cases were closed.

• Vehicle crashes: 8

• There were 19 SRO activities. School was in session one day.

• There were 48 bailiff contacts resulting in 13 calls for service. 

• No livestock were out.
