Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending Feb. 15

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Tuesday, Feb. 18, showed the current numbers for the week ending Feb. 15 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 59. Seventeen prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 58.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility (competency evaluation).

• Fifty prisoners were from other facilities (33 U.S. Marshals Service, 11 Wyandotte County, 6 other,  $3,956.50/day)

• Total 911 calls were 55. 

• There were 4,296 jail contacts.                                                                                                       • Total calls for service were 548. 

• Total civil service papers served were 16.

• There was one vehicle identification number (VIN) inspection.

• Twenty-five new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Ten cases were closed.

• There were four vehicle crashes.

• There were 75 SRO activities.

• There were 75 bailiff contacts resulting in 15 calls for service. 

• One report of livestock out.
