Linn County Sheriff's report for the week ending March 15

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, March 17, showed the current numbers for the week ending March 15 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 58. Thirteen prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 56.

• Two prisoners were sent to another facility. (One conflict and one competency evaluation.) 

• Forty-seven prisoners were from other facilities (32 U.S. Marshals Service, 8 Wyandotte County, 7 other, $3,706/day)

• Total 911 calls were 131. 

• There were 3,793 jail contacts.                                                                                                         • Total calls for service were 724. 

• Total civil service papers served were 12.

• There were 12 vehicle identification number (VIN) inspection.

• Twenty-six new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Five cases were closed.

• There were seven vehicle crashes.

• There were 100 school resource officer activities. 

• There were 109 bailiff contacts resulting in 22 calls for service. 

• Three reports of livestock out were received.
