Linn County Sheriff's report for the week ending March 1

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, March 3, showed the current numbers for the week ending March 1 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 61. Fifteen prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 59.

• Two prisoners were sent to another facility. (One conflict and one competency evaluation.) 

• Fifty prisoners were from other facilities (33 U.S. Marshal’s Service, 10 Wyandotte County, 6 other,  at $3,879/day)

• Total 911 calls were 74. 

• There were 4,277 jail contacts.                                                                                                         • Total calls for service were 623. 

• Total civil service papers served were 22.

• There were eight vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Twenty-one new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Three cases were closed.

• There were four vehicle crashes.

• There were 93 SRO activities. 

• There were 137 bailiff contacts resulting in 34 calls for service. 

• Two reports of livestock out were received.
