Osawatomie
Karen Guzman, age 76, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the home of her daughter. Karen was born on December 2, 1948, in Gardner, Kansas, to Everett and Aileen (Ingalls) Huggins.
Karen made Osawatomie her home for around 22 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and she found great joy in playing bingo throughout Miami County and even into Missouri. She was also an avid player of Gin Rummy, always up for a friendly game.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Reynolds (Terry) of Paola, KS, and Christy Guthrie (Gary) of Osawatomie; two sons, Jasen Thurman of Spring Hill, KS, and Tyler Hendry of Eugene, Oregon; grandchildren Jacob Reynolds, Josh Reynolds, Adam Guthrie, Braden Thurman, Amber Guthrie, Emiley Reynolds, Ryen Thurman-Reynolds, Ryland Clayton and Tytan Hendry; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way, siblings David Huggins (Becky), Earrett Huggins, Doug Huggins, Cathy Acker, Mina Huggins, Mary Dimmitt, Frank Perkins and Orlene Huggins-Schrivner; as well as numerous extended family, and close friends who will miss her dearly.
Graveside service Monday March 31, 2025 at Green Valley Cemetery in Osawatomie.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Eddy Birchard Funeral Home to help with the cost of services.
