For many people with Type 2 diabetes making positive changes in an area such as eating habits, physical activity, and adherence to medication can help improve their diabetes status. However, making these lifestyle changes can be a challenge.
Dining with Diabetes Online is a self-paced course. Using videos, short readings, recipes, and handouts you can learn how to manage diabetes and improve your health. Videos will teach you about tests and medications that can help in diabetes management.
You'll learn about daily physical activity recommendations and about dietary strategies, such as carbohydrate counting, food label reading, meal planning, and ways to reduce fats and sodium. You'll also learn how to set goals and keep track of your progress. Knowledge check questions at the end of each section of the course will help you review what you learn.
