Blu-Jay Homecoming set for Friday, Oct. 4

The Pleasanton High School Homecoming is set for Friday, Oct. 4, following a week of activities. Those activities include a bonfire on the evening of Oct. 3.


A pep assembly is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. on game day followed by a Homecoming parade leaving the school at 2:30 p.m. The parade will travel down Main Street, turn around at Sixth Street and return down Main Street.


PHS FFA will be hosting a hog roast from 5 to 7 p.m. at Blu-Jay stadium. The meal includes a shredded pork sandwich, two sides and a drink.


The crowning of the king and queen will take place at 6:30 p.m. before the football game against the cross-county rival Jayhawks from Jayhawk-Linn High School at 7 p.m.


The Pleasanton Booster Club is sponsoring the Homecoming dance following

the game ,and it will last until midnight. The cost of the dance is $3 per person or $5 for a couple for all eligible PHS students.


The crown bearers for the crowning ceremony are Ta’Marroe Harvey and Raymond Bustillos

Ta'Marroe is the daughter of Amber Staton and Christopher Harvey, and Raymond is the son of Jammie Quirk and Ben Capps.
